This post has been weeks in the making. And it all started about a month ago. Here’s the back story. I am an avid Clarisonic user. I was the first one in my whole group of girlfriends that took the plunge, and after seeing the results on my skin, I am confident to say 98% of my friends now own one. When I first started using the Clarisonic, I did experience some of the dreaded purging stage. It was quick, only about a week, but it happened. After I got myself through that, my skin was glowing. I mean not one blemish. I finally found the secret to keeping my skin clear. I’ve used it with so many cleansers, but mostly my beloved Clarins Foaming Cleanser. Fast forward to the Spring. I found a Clarins cleanser that spoke to me. It was the Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. (I’ve blogged about this before) It’s a gel texture, that transforms into an oil, and rinses off like a milk. It is an incredible product. It feels so luxurious, and I still have this in my rotation. I had zero reaction to it, however I completely abandoned my Clarisonic. I didn’t use it for about two weeks, and I could see the slow start of this breakout happening. It crept up slowly, and it took me awhile to figure out why my skin was so mad. When I realized the problem, I stopped using the Pure Melt everyday, and went back to the Clarisonic and my foaming cleanser at night, and Bioderma in the morning. These are the dramatic results.
After I previewed this post, the picture is not showing how bad this breakout was. I will have to post on Instagram! Horrifying, but it’s all for the cause …
Hard to post, as I can’t remember the last time my skin looked this bad, but people need to be aware of the magical properties of this product. Clarisonic has no idea I am even writing this, and I bought mine with my own money. I am not someone to overhype a product unless I really believe in it, and if you are someone who has been contemplating the Clarisonic because of the price, or because you don’t think you will use it, stop reading this and get yourself to a store that sells them. Your skin will be forever changed, and like I said, I will never ever be without mine again.
