Review: L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara!

Why hello there lovelies … How was everybody’s weekend? I had the weekend off, but had the opportunity to work with an amazing bridal party on Saturday, and Sunday was a typical lazy day, filled with blogging, tea, and reruns of Criminal Minds.

I have a review today on the latest mascara to the Voluminous family. Miss Manga. Now if the cute name wasn’t enough to catch your attention, the adorable packaging will definitely raise some eyebrows.

As always, let’s dive into the claims first. L’Oreal promises volume galore with this new formula. It’s 360 degree flexor brush, will catch those hard to reach lashes, and build bold volume with high intensity from top to bottom. It also claims it is a clump free, smudge free, and flake free formula.

I have been using this for about a week now, and I have to say, overall I am very impressed. Ever since my beloved Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara was discontinued, I have been having a hard time finding a favorite drugstore option for mascara. (Let’s be frank, nothing will ever give me what Lancôme Hypnose gives me!) The first time I used this, I was cautious of the flexor brush, because I have used mascaras like that in the past, and found it difficult to actually get the product on my lashes with a wand that bends.

This wand seems to put product down in slow layers, which I am okay with, because it really allows you to build as much volume as you wish. It isn’t so flexible that you feel like you’re pushing the brush away from your eyes when you apply it. It does really control clumping though. It sets down without making my lashes feel super hard, and I had minimal flaking or smudging. (I wear contact lenses all the time, so I am constantly picking at my eyes) Although I didn’t get the length that I would like, the volume was great for me, and overall I loved the look this provided. I even wore this when I did makeup for a large wedding on Saturday. By the time I got home, I had maybe three or four tiny black flakes under one eye. I can forgive that. It was a long day of makeup, and like I said I touch my eyes often!

Removal of this has given me no issue. I simply use my Bioderma and Shiseido cotton, or my Clarins Pure Melt Gel Cleanser will also emulsify this product off.

All in all, I am happy with this mascara, and I will recommend it in the future. I am happy to finally have a Voluminous mascara that I like, because I really have never been a fan of L’Oreal mascaras in general.

Have you guys tried this new mascara yet? What are your thoughts?

Also, I have modified the size of the pictures on the blog … any feedback about them? I thought the large size were simply too big to look at on a computer screen.

Have a wonderful day!
